Postvention Training Workshops

CrisisLink provides postvention training workshops nationwide for law enforcement, clergy, social service professionals, funeral directors, mobile crisis teams, survivors, and other community members who work with survivors of suicide and other sudden and traumatic loss. Such advanced training is crucial to increase awareness of effective and sensitive postvention activities that prevent additional traumatization of survivors.

The 1-day "Hope and Healing" workshop is intended to build capacity and awareness of postvention to help survivors of traumatic loss, including suicide, as a community-wide prevention strategy.

All workshops are facilitated by Mary Azoy, CrisisLink's Director of Community Education and Crisis Response. Ms. Azoy is a licensed professional counselor, an expressive arts therapist, and is one of only two certified trainers in the United States on Sudden and Traumatic Loss.

For more information, please contact Ms. Azoy by or at (703) 516-6771.
