Tara Sirmans Survivor HOPE Program
The Tara Sirmans Survivor HOPE (Help and Outreach for Prevention and Education) Program provides both immediate and ongoing support and resources to individuals throughout the Washington metropolitan area who are impacted by suicide and other forms of sudden and traumatic loss.
The HOPE Program comprises a variety of programs and services that are available free of charge to those in need of support:
- Postvention Program Overview — The meaning of "Postvention" and a summary and history of CrisisLink's HOPE program
- Peer Support Approach — Learn why survivors are so effective in supporting other survivors
- LOSS Team — Offering immediate support and resources to survivors of suicide and other forms of traumatic loss
- Survivor Support Groups — Monthly peer support groups for adults and teens/young adults
- "On Pins and Needles" — A monthly support group for family members of individuals who have attempted suicide
- Postvention Training Workshops — Training workshops for law enforcement, clergy, social service professionals, funeral directors, mobile crisis teams, survivors, and other community members who work with survivors of suicide and other sudden and traumatic loss
- Other Survivor Resources — Helpful tips, books, and websites for survivors
