Memorial Dedication
in Loving Memory of
Tania English
Feb 26, 1990 - Oct 23, 2007
17 years old, of Ashburn, VA, a senior at Broad Run High School
Elizabeth and Fred Singer celebrate the life of Tania English on behalf of the English family, by sponsoring LinkUp & Listen 2008 in her name.
Tania was born in Michigan and lived a dream childhood on an equestrian farm in Howell, MI, where she developed a passion for animals. She had an amazing gift in communicating with them. She grew up riding and showing her ponies, and later competed on horseback in vaulting competitions on national level. Tania and her family moved to VA in 2005. Very quickly she made new friends and adjusted to her new life away from the farm. She was called "Sunshine" because of her outgoing, warm personality. She was the one always lifting others up and making them smile and feel better about themselves. Tania was planning a future as a kindergarten teacher or speech therapist.
Our Sweet Sunshine, Tania
We hold you so very snug and dear in our hearts and treasure all the precious memories
of the 17 wonderful years we were able to hug and hold you! We cherish your memory and are letting it live on! We miss you, Tee-Bird!!!

We are neighbors of the English Family; they have always been very special to us. I have two children and Tania was always a big part of their lives. Tania worked at the Early Learning Center at Broad Run High School. My daughter, Lauren, was in her class and Tania was her favorite teacher. Tania was always ready to play, and my son Austin loved it when she would dig up worms with him in the backyard. She was also their babysitter. They loved her so much that they always were asking me when we were going to go out so that Tania could babysit them. If Tania only knew how many people really loved her and miss her. We think about her and her family daily.
My son is still having a hard time getting over this tragic death. He tells me he does not want to hear her name because it makes him sad. He is 8. My daughter is only 5. When she hears that someone has passed away, the first thing she says is that they are in heaven with Tania. That’s the innocence of a child. I just asked them what they would like to say in this message. Here it is:
Tania we love you and miss you.
